Margaret Faye Walters, 97, passed away Sunday November 14, 2010 at McKinley Court Nursing Home.

A service to celebrate Margaret's life will be 11:00 AM Thursday November 18, 2010 at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel, Highway 51, Decatur. Visitation will be Wednesday November 17, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com

Memorials are suggested to Forsyth Baptist Church, Forsyth United Methodist Church or Donor's Choice.

Margaret was born on April 15, 1913 in Blue Mound the daughter of Ann Ward O'Bryan and Thomas E. Hupp. She married William Howard Walters in Jacksonville, IL in 1933 and he preceded her in death on May 20, 2001. Margaret was a member of Forsyth Baptist Church and Forsyth Rebekah Lodge. She worked for Hi-Flyer Kite Factory and was the first cook at Forsyth Grade School, she was a house keeper, care giver and a great baby sitter.

Margaret is survived by her children Jack Walters and wife Sharon of Decatur and Janet Wood and husband Bob of Ashland City, TN.; grandchildren Steve Walters and wife Sue, Jacque Lynn Roberts and husband Steve, Angie Gray and husband Gene, John Wood and wife Cheryl, Ann Ramage and husband Ron, Nathan Wood and wife Susie; eight great grandchildren, one step great grandchild, eleven great great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild; brothers Bill Hupp and wife Aileen of Evansville, IN., Paul Hupp and wife Jean of Argenta, Bob Hupp and wife Lois of Oreana; sisters Dorothy Adams of Forsyth, Shirley Lechleiter of Forsyth, Jane Miller and husband Darrell of Hammond; sister-in-law Libby Hupp of Decatur; brother-in-law Byron "Barney" Walters and wife Phyllis of Horseshoe Bend, AR.; special cousin Wilma Beatty of Decatur and many nieces and nephews survive.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-mother Edith Hupp, infant son, sister Cressie Pope and brothers Grundy, Dale, Keith and Herbert.
